Why Smokey Blu’s?

Why Smokey?
We chose “Smokey” to shout one thing loud and clear: Our jerky is smoked, not dehydrated.
Most our competitors jerky? It’s dehydrated—quick, cheap, and often tough like old shoe leather. Dry, cracked, and disappointing when you’re craving something truly satisfying.
Smoked jerky is different. The slow hickory smoke seals in the juices, infusing rich flavor while keeping every bite moist, chewy, and downright addictive—like decadent meat licorice you can’t stop eating.

Why Blu’s?
“Blu’s” is personal. It’s about the care we put into every bag—like we’re feeding our own family.
If you’re not thrilled with our jerky, neither are we. We’d never sell anything we wouldn’t proudly share at home.
The name has a fun backstory too:
Years ago, driving home, a song stopped me in my tracks—“Hate Me” by Blue October. I pulled over, Googled the lyrics, and became an instant fan. After meeting the band, Their genuine love for their fans stuck with me.
Then our family grew: We welcomed a beautiful black English Labrador puppy. Her name had to honor the band—so we dropped the “e” for originality and called her Blu. We call ger our " LAB TECH"
She’s our daily reminder to care deeply about quality and people. That same family-first spirit? It’s smoked into every Smokey Blu’s product.
